Publishing and the Publicly Engaged Humanities

illustration

This working group brings together a wide range of participants from across humanities communities (publishers, scholars, librarians and more) to discuss model practices for publishing on public and publicly engaged humanities.

The activities of our working group are fairly informal. We have completed a couple of projects and produced a number of resources that you can find linked via posts on this site.

Highlights of our work to date include:

  • A working paper setting out the challenges and model practices of publicly engaged publishing in the humanities
  • An open educational resource setting out how a values-based approach to scholarly communication can address the challenges of publishing publicly engaged scholarship

While our primary focus is on humanities and social sciences, we welcome all engaged scholars!

How can you get involved?

Check out our posts to find out more about what we have been doing and feel free to contact via our HCommons group. We look forward to seeing you there!
